Installation
Install the package, import the stylesheet and render your first table.
Prerequisites
- React 18.2 or newer (React 18 and 19 are both supported), with
react-domat the same version. - TypeScript 5.4 or newer if you use TypeScript. The package ships its own types; nothing extra to install.
- A bundler that understands ES modules: Vite, Next.js, Remix, Rspack, webpack 5 or Parcel.
Install
pnpm add @kingtech/react-tablekit
npm install @kingtech/react-tablekit
yarn add @kingtech/react-tablekit
Import the stylesheet
Import it once, wherever your application starts.
import '@kingtech/react-tablekit/styles.css';
The styles live inside @layer tablekit, so any rule you write outside that layer wins without !important.
Verify
Render the table from the quickstart. You should see a table with sortable headers, a search box above it and pagination below it. If the table renders but has no borders or spacing, the stylesheet import is missing.
Next steps
- Quickstart: a complete, copy-pasteable first table.
- Columns: how a column is defined.
- Client and server: moving the work to your API.
